Life’s Purpose defined in M.R.M. Parrott’s Philosophy

Life’s Purpose defined in M.R.M. Parrott’s Philosophy
RIMRIC / COLUMBIA, SC (30 June, 2011)

M.R.M. Parrott’s “Dynamism” series, which takes on popular philosophical, religious and scientific theories, has been updated with its second volume and Parrott’s 16th book, called “Life”. Biological Chemistry and Epistemology are the focus of “Life”, building on an expanded first volume, “Force”, on Quantum Physics and Ontology. Parrott began work on the series in 2001 and first published “Force” in 2005, now expanded with additional research. He describes “Reality” using scientific experiments in Quantum Harmonics and philosophical inquiries of “Being” in Metaphysics. The second volume just released defines the nature and meaning of Life through research in Molecular, Biological and Electro-Chemistry with philosophical studies of Perception and Knowledge.

“Religious and scientific definitions of Nature and Life leave me unsatisfied,” Parrott says, “and I’m fascinated by the metaphysical issues of how Life operates, what its wider purpose might be.” M.R.M. Parrott’s philosophical books have included papers, interviews and full treatises, and “Dynamism” is a philosophical and scientific series on complex systems. “Academic Philosophy essentially died from a thousand budget cuts, one unfortunate result of mass paranoia over challenges to faith, and we too often let Pop Science and Religion slide by as easy answers to the deepest riddles. To me, the reward of doing Philosophy is working out the very Meaning of Life in a deeply satisfying way. We need to encourage philosophical freedom in our society.”

M.R.M. Parrott’s books include the novel trilogy “Timeless”, novella, “To Lie Within the Moment”, travelogue “Driving Home”, stage play “Ctrl-V”, monographs in Philosophy, and chapbooks of poems and short stories.
