Driving Home
A North American Tour

Haven’t you ever wanted to just drop it all and take the trip of a lifetime? That’s what writer and photographer M.R.M. Parrott did in the Fall of 2006. He sold his Columbia SC home, left his job and apartment in Charlotte NC, and hit the open road. Parrott travelled across the US, Canada and Mexico, visiting more than 400 cities, parks and attractions, always looking for home. After 40,000 miles and over 5 months, Mark relocated to his first choice of “cool cities”.

Along the way, he wrote Driving Home, his 12th book and first travelogue/autobiography, and took nearly 3,000 photographs. The result is what he calls an honest look at his life, with adventures, challenges and lessons from the “joy ride”, “hard driving” and “fury road” of his North American Tour. Driving Home is 374 pages, with informative appendices, and is released on Kindle and Nook.

A travelogue of adventures, challenges and lessons in 40k miles across US, Canada and Mexico.
