M.R.M. Parrott's thirteenth book is an auto-biographical and detailed travelogue of his North American tour during 2006-2007. After more than 40,000 miles across the US, Canada, and Mexico over nearly six months, the author relocated to his first choice of “cool cities”. Along the way he wrote Driving Home and took over 3,000 photographs, visiting over 400 cities, parks, and attractions. The result is an adventure log, an honest look at his life, and a look at the challenges and lessons of the journey. The open writing experience changed the author's nonfiction style, which was continued in the Dynamism books in Philosophy and Science, and the Intersections concept album.

Haven't you ever wanted to just drop it all and take the trip of a lifetime? That's what writer and photographer M.R.M. Parrott did in the Fall of 2006. He sold his Columbia SC home, left his job and apartment in Charlotte NC, and hit the open road. Parrott travelled across the US, Canada and Mexico, visiting more than 400 cities, parks and attractions, always looking for home. After 40,000 miles and six months, Mark relocated to his first choice of “cool cities”.

Along the way, he wrote Driving Home, an extensive travelogue autobiography, and took nearly 3,000 photographs. The result is what he calls an honest look at his life, with adventures, challenges and lessons from the “joy ride”, “hard driving” and “fury road” of his North American Tour. Driving Home is 468 pages, with informative appendices, and is released in paperback, Kindle and Nook.
