The book is a response to the decline in quality and rise in cost at many restaurants due to business pressures and nonsensical economic policies, as well as the rise in cost of groceries. While it used to be comparative in cost to go out, that is certainly no longer the case, and as so many of us have spent time and money on renovated kitchens, it makes even more sense today to cook at home as Intuitive Chefs.
